FAQs

Is there a minimum spend for ‘Dine At Home’ services? We require a minimum cover level of 4 persons or a minimum spend of £230, for any private chef catered event.

What do you provide for the table? We provide all the tableware as standard, including plates, cutlery, linen napkins, menu cards & fresh flowers. We do request you provide the table covering (mats, runner or tablecloth) and the glasses for the meal so that we don’t need to disturb you or the table when we depart for the evening. In some instances we are able to provide the linen & glassware at a small additional charge.

What do you need in the kitchen? We do much of the preparation off site so for the duration of the meal, we only need to to cook, finish, plate and serve. We require a short briefing for any details in the kitchen, the use of a hob & oven and we can then be left to our own devices, allowing you time to enjoy your evening.

When will you need to arrive to set up? For private dinners we’ll arrive an hour ahead of canapés to familiarise ourselves with the kitchen, set up and lay the table. For grazings, dependent on numbers, set up time can vary from 1-2 hours and we recommend setting up as close to guest arrival as possible to ensure the freshest of produce.

How long do the dinners generally last/how long should I allow? We are very much led by you and your desired pace for the evening but as an average allow three hours, including arrival drinks & canapés.

What are your payment terms? Upon initial consultation a 25% deposit is payable to secure and hold the date, whilst the deposit remains unpaid, we reserve the right to continue taking enquiries & bookings. Full payment is due three days prior to your event, with notification of your confirmed final numbers. An invoice will be emailed to you for an online bank transfer.

What is your cancellation policy? If cancellation is requested 28 days prior to your event your deposit will be refunded, after this time the deposit becomes non refundable. Full payment is due three days prior, any changes to final numbers or cancellation within the three days following, will be refunded partially at 30%.
